"The Lady in Red" is a song by Irish singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh.
The song was written by de Burgh about his wife Diana, although the song does not explicitly state this, and was released as part of the album Into the Light. In the documentary series "This Is Your Life", de Burgh stated that the song was inspired by the memory of how he first saw Diana and thoughts that men often cannot even remember what their wives were wearing when they first met.
