London-based songwriter, singer, piano player and flautist, Dare Summer, has been writing songs for as long as she can remember. Drawing inspiration from the 70s disco and prog rock eras, classic songwriters such as Elton John and Carole King, early 80s synth bands, as well as classical music and jazz standards, Dare is as comfortable writing and recording electro pop bangers as she is emotionally-charged piano-led ballads. All Dare’s songs start out as piano improvisations which reflect her mood and situation. She then finds melodies in the harmony and words in her experiences.
